A note about our nice Patagonian wheather
Success will always depend, in great measure, on the climatic factors and the conditions of the terrain. The weather in this area is very unstable and unpredictable; you must be prepared for “wild” weather conditions and accept that we will do our best to achieve our goals.
For some of our programs, we take one extra day to improve the chances of a successful trip.
Our Mountain Guides will have the final call to modify partially or totally the programs..

STEP BY STEP DETAILS


DAY 1 (LAGUNA TORO)

Beginning our trip from El Chalten, we will walk towards the Laguna Toro lake, passing by Pliegue Tumbado’s hillside. This is a 6 hours trek, after which we will set camp at the Laguna Toro campsite (650 meters or 2132 feet a/s/l). Meals: Box lunch and dinner.



DAY 2 (PASO DEL VIENTO)

30-40 minutes trekking around Laguna Toro. We will cross the Tunel river using a fixed cable line. We continue towards Paso del Viento. Once over the pass (1550 meters or 5085 feet a/s/l) we can appreciate a large section of the Patagonian Ice Field; the nascents of the Viedma Glacier and the Mariano Moreno range, a truly amazing view to one of the most unique places in the world. We return by the same trail, back to Laguna Toro. This is a 7-8 hours trek. Meals: Breakfast, box lunch and dinner.



DAY 3 (RETURN TO EL CHALTÉN)

Return to Chalten with the possibility of having a walk to Pliegue Tumbado. This is a 6-8 hours trek. Meals: Breakfast and box lunch.
