A note about our nice Patagonian wheather
Success will always depend, in great measure, on the climatic factors and the conditions of the terrain. The weather in this area is very unstable and unpredictable; you must be prepared for “wild” weather conditions and accept that we will do our best to achieve our goals.
For some of our programs, we take one extra day to improve the chances of a successful trip.
Our Mountain Guides will have the final call to modify partially or totally the programs..

STEP BY STEP DETAILS


DAY 1 (NIPONINO)

Leaving El Chalten at 7AM with the guide, we hike towards the Torre lake, a 2.5 hours walk. From there we cross the Fitz Roy river over a fixed cable line, and then we walk another 6 hours until arriving to the base of Cerro Torre. From this bivouac site, used by climbers, we can witness up close one of the most impressive views in the region: the east face of Cerro Torre and the west face of Fitz Roy. Camping at the bivouac. Meals: Box lunch and dinner.



DAY 2 (RETURN TO EL CHALTÉN)

We will return to El Chalten (9 hours), with the possibility of doing some ice climbing on the Grande glacier, depending on weather conditions. Meals: Breakfast and box lunch.
