A note about our nice Patagonian wheather
Success will always depend, in great measure, on the climatic factors and the conditions of the terrain. The weather in this area is very unstable and unpredictable; you must be prepared for “wild” weather conditions and accept that we will do our best to achieve our goals.
For some of our programs, we take one extra day to improve the chances of a successful trip.
Our Mountain Guides will have the final call to modify partially or totally the programs..

STEP BY STEP DETAILS

DAY 1 (POINCENOT)

We will depart from El Chalten to Poincenot Camp, walking under a beautiful forest of Lengas (Nothofagus) during some sections of the trail. Once there, we continue to Rio Blanco campsite (a special camp just for climbers). And we have one more hour to get to Laguna de los Tres (a beautiful lagoon created by glacier and snow melting): the Fitz Roy base camp and the best place to have unimaginable views of this majestic mountain. After a while there, we will return to the camp to have dinner. This day we will walk around 6 hours. Meals: Box Lunch and Dinner.

DAY 2 (LAGUNA TORRE)

After breakfast we leave Poincenot camp to Laguna Torre. On the way we will visit Lagunas Madre and Hija (Mother and daughter lagoons). After a hike of about 2 to 2 ½ hours, we will arrive to Laguna Torre. This is a beautiful place with amazing views. If weather permits, you will see the mythic Cerro Torre, Loma de las Pizarras and Cerro Solo, among others. From here, we have around 3 hours to return back to El Chalten. Meals: Breakfast and Box Lunch.
